We spent careers building companies as operators and investors. We kept wondering why advisors didn't have better infrastructure. So we built it.
Iconic was founded on a simple belief: M&A professionals shouldn't have to choose between independence and infrastructure. For too long, that trade-off was accepted as the cost of going independent. You could have your freedom, but you'd sacrifice the deal flow, brand credibility, and operational backbone of a larger firm.
We built Iconic to eliminate that compromise. Every tool, resource, and support system in our platform was designed with one question in mind: what does an advisor need to close more deals and serve clients at the highest level?

Iconic advisors are independent professionals operating as 1099 contractors in a fully commission-based model.
There is no base salary, no draw, and no ceiling. Your income is a direct reflection of the practice you build. The platform, tools, and community we provide are designed to help you build it well.
Iconic operates on an exclusive basis for business sale advisory. If you're active with another firm performing business sales, joining Iconic means making a clean transition. We ask for exclusivity because we invest meaningfully in every advisor who joins and because the advisors who go all in are the ones who get the most out of it.
What this means in practice:
You operate as a 1099 independent contractor, running your own practice under the Iconic umbrella
Compensation is commission-only with no base, no cap, and no ceiling
Iconic is your exclusive home for business sale advisory while you're with us
You maintain full autonomy over how you build your pipeline, manage your clients, and grow your practice

An Economics Model Built for the Long Game
Most advisory platforms offer a split and call it a day. Iconic was designed differently because we believe the advisors who build this company should share in what they're building. Our compensation structure has four distinct layers, each designed to reward performance, loyalty, and the kind of long-term thinking that separates great advisors from good ones.
70% advisor splits on all self-sourced deals which is very competitive in the industry
Revenue share program tied to recruiting productive advisors into the Iconic network. When the advisors you bring in produce, you earn passively, paid entirely from Iconic's side of the split, never yours
Retirement benefit for advisors who remain active and producing for 10+ years become eligible to retain 50% of their revenue share for 15 years post-retirement, building a pension-like income stream that rewards the career you've built. You will not find anything like this anywhere. Full Stop.
Performance-based equity because advisors who grow Iconic deserve to own a piece of it
Note: Deals sourced through Iconic's lead generation efforts and referral partnerships carry a 20% marketing origination fee applied before splits. Full details are outlined in your proposal.

Interview and Product Demo
A 45-minute conversation with a member of our leadership team where we’ll discuss your background, your goals, and show a live walkthrough of parts of the Iconic platform. You'll leave with a clear picture of how we work and whether it's the right fit.
We're evaluating fit on both sides. Come with questions.

Proposal & Contracts
If it's a mutual fit, we'll send a full proposal outlining everything Iconic brings to the table. Execute that, and you'll receive your Independent Contractor Agreement and Commission Agreement and we'll get to work.
No pressure, no rush. The right fit matters more than a fast close.

Onboarding & Activation
Before your first deal, you'll get fully set up in the Iconic ecosystem — tools, systems, platform, and process. We don't hand you a login and wish you luck. We make sure you know exactly how to run your practice the Iconic way before you go live.
